As a dedicated Texas educator with 21 years of experience, including 7 years as a campus administrator, I bring the expertise needed to provide Texas students with the effective instruction that leads to measurable academic growth.

 

At the heart of my leadership philosophy is the belief that strategic staffing and high-quality instructional materials are critical to student success. When educators are equipped with the tools they need, including exceptional resources and ongoing professional development, they can effectively monitor student progress and meet the diverse needs of all learners.

 

Throughout my career, I have collaborated closely with teacher teams in Professional Learning Communities to analyze student data and reflect on instructional practices. A key example of this is my work with our Reading Language Arts teachers to implement TEA-vetted RLA instructional materials. I created a committee to lead the review process, developed and organized professional learning opportunities, and provided consistent walkthrough feedback on the proper implementation of the materials. As a result of these efforts, we saw our students’ performance improve significantly, with our ‘Meets’ score on the STAAR Reading Assessment rising from 55% to 80%.

 

I have had the privilege of supporting effective instruction and material implementation in several leadership roles, including Principal, Assistant Principal overseeing Special Programs, Campus Academic Support Specialist, Secondary Dean of Academics, and District ARD Facilitator/Section 504 Coordinator.

 

My strengths lie in integrity, passion, communication, and organization. I manage my time efficiently and communicate clearly with all stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the vision and action items. I have a proven track record of improving both teacher effectiveness and student achievement.
